California History seeks articles on LGBTQ topics for a special issue. Proposals on a broad range of topics pertaining to LGBTQ history are encouraged, including but not limited to:

Published by the University of California Press, California History is the top-flight historical journal of California. As such, it is committed to publishing well-researched, thoughtfully argued pieces that go well beyond a purely descriptive narrative or biographical sketch.
